Does TRMC High School offer CIAC sports?
CIAC sports are not offered at TRMC High School, but students may participate in clubs/intramural activities offered by the college.

How are students chosen for this program?
All students must complete an online application and submit to the TRMC magnet office. Families are also encouraged to join an information session to learn more about the school.

How does one apply?

Is there a school cafeteria and will school meals be provided?
Yes, please visit the lunch room page by clicking here. There is also a cafeteria on the college campus available for students to purchase breakfast and lunch.

Is transportation provided?
Transportation may be provided by the sending school district. Families will need to communicate with the Superintendent's office of their home school district to arrange/discuss transportation.

Must a student enroll at Three Rivers Community College after graduation from TRMC High School?
All TRMC High School graduates may consider TRCC as a college option in addition to other colleges and universities.

What academic background and preparation should students have to enter TRMC?

  • Successful completion of grade 9 and 10 coursework to qualify for junior year academic status
  • Adequate performance on the CAPT
  • Preferably 11-12 credits to transfer in as a full-fledged grade 11 student at TRMC *
  • Social/emotional maturity to begin taking ownership of their academic, career and civic responsibilities

*If a student is deficient in credits and is accepted to the school through the application/lottery process; the school personnel will work with the student on an inpidual basis to create a Student Success Plan to earn the additional credits needed to graduate.

What does dual enrollment mean?
A program offering two years of high school and up to one-year of college coursework in two years
