Brad Columbus has been the Principal of Three Rivers
Middle College since its start in the summer of 2012. Brad has worked as a
History teacher, Assistant Principal, a Track & Football Coach and taught
as an adjunct History Professor at Quinebaug Valley Community College. In
addition to being a Principal he has presented nationally on topics such
as grading reform, standards based curriculum and personalized learning. He
often leads Professional Development Grading/Assessment workshops at LEARN and
for schools in Southeastern CT. He is currently the President of the
Northeast Association of Magnet Schools. Brad was honored at the White House
for being an Innovative Educator in 2016 and received the 2016 Danny
Jenkins Norwich NAACP Educational Diversity Award. Brad has a Bachelor’s
degree from Central Connecticut State University and a Masters from Wesleyan
University. He currently resides in Waterford Connecticut.
